Three special assistants, advisors submit resign to KP CM
‘Two to three more resigns in the KP cabinet are likely in the next few days’
Peshawar: In an unusual development in KP politics, three special assistants and advisors to KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan have resigned from their positions, credible sources said on Saturday.
Advisor to Chief Minister Ziaullah Bangash, Advisor to CM for Energy Himayatullah and Special Assistant to CM for Excise and Taxation Syed Ghazi Ghazan have resigned from their respective portfolios.
According to details, Advisor to CM Ziaullah Bangash submitted his resignation before Mehmood Khan, informing him that he wants to focus on his constituency politics.
SACM for Information Kamran Bangash also confirmed his resignation. However, the reason behind his resignation could not be confirmed till the filing of this story.
SACM for Excise and Taxation Syed Ghazi took the stance that he tried his best to implement reforms in the Excise and Taxation department, but unfortunately things are out of his control.
As per credible sources, Mehmood Khan was not satisfied with the performance of these three cabinet members.
It is pertinent to mention here that two to three ministers can also resign from their ministries in the coming days.
