Syed Nazar Hussain Shah Assumes Charge as Chief of KP Information Commission

PESHAWAR: Syed Nazar Hussain Shah has formally assumed charge as the Chief Commissioner of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission.
According to details, Shah took charge of the office on Wednesday after his appointment was officially notified by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information and Public Relations Department on May 12, 2026.
Upon his arrival at the commission’s office in Peshawar, he was warmly received by senior officers and staff members. An introductory meeting was also held, during which he met officials of the commission and discussed the institution’s mandate, ongoing initiatives, and future priorities.
On the occasion, Syed Nazar Hussain Shah reaffirmed his commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and citizens’ right to information across the province. He emphasized the importance of effective implementation of the Right to Information law and said that all available resources would be utilized to further improve institutional performance and public service delivery.
Senior officers welcomed his appointment and expressed hope that his leadership and extensive administrative experience would play a key role in achieving the commission’s objectives.
