Vaccination process for 30 & above begins today
Islamabad: The vaccination process of the people aging 30 years and above against covid-19 started today (Saturday)
In a tweet, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said the decision was taken at the meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
It is to mention here that the country has been reporting a visible increase in the number of covid-19 cases since the third wave of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, Pakistan has reported 88 deaths and the number of covid-19 positive cases have surged up to 897,468. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 20,177 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,007 persons tested positive for covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
In province wise segregation, Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 9,739 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,891 in Sindh, 3,900 in KP, 744 in Islamabad, 526 in Azad Kashmir, 270 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
