RAWALPINDI: Imtiaz Baig, a reporter for Samaa TV in Jhelum, has died in a tragic accident after suffering a fatal head injury from a fall. The incident occurred recently, and the cause of the fall is still under investigation.
Forensic Examination Conducted on Deceased Reporter’s Body
Before the post-mortem, the Punjab Forensic Science Rawalpindi team visited the Jhelum district hospital and conducted a forensic examination of the deceased reporter’s body. Samples of blood and the body were sent to the Punjab Forensic Laboratory.
Postmortem Confirms Fatal Head Injury
Doctors at DHQ performed a postmortem on the deceased reporter, and according to the medical report, the cause of death was a deep brain injury resulting from the fall from a height. However, the definitive cause of death will be confirmed once the forensic laboratory report is received.
Funeral Prayers to be Held Today
Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at 4:00 pm today at The Madani Masjid in Jhelum to pay respects to the deceased reporter. The hospital administration has expressed their condolences to the family and friends of Imtiaz Baig.
