Murderer of three citizens, associate killed in police encounter
RAWALPINDI: An alleged murderer of three citizens along with his associate was killed in a police encounter in Bhara Area of Islamabad, sources said on Friday.
The deceased murderer, identified as Fazal Rahim alias Chotu, was being brought to a local court for a case hearing when he succeeded to flee from the police custody along with hand cough.
The deceased murderer had killed three citizens and he was wanted to police in murder and other criminal cases. He was allegedly leading a notorious gang.
The sources said that as the deceased murderer was brought in the court, his colleagues who were allegedly positioned there opened indiscriminate fire in the air. As a result, Fazal managed to flee along with hand cough.
The deceased murderer was allegedly hiding in Bhara Kahu area of Islamabad when the Bhara Kahu police in coordination of other police stations officials launched a crackdown.
The four members’ alleged criminal gang opened indiscriminate fire on the police raiding team.
In police retaliation, Fazal and one of his associates were killed and two others managed to flee. Fazal was arrested by police from Quetta and it was his first appearance in the court, the sources said.
