Matric Paper Leak: Entire Exam Staff Suspended at Nowshera Centre

Mardan – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan has suspended the entire examination staff of a centre in Kheshgi Bala, Nowshera after the Class 9 Islamiyat paper was leaked on social media shortly after the exam began on Wednesday.
According to details, the paper, which was scheduled for Wednesday, surfaced on social media soon after the exam started. Following the incident, the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and five invigilators of the Kheshgi Bala examination centre were immediately suspended over their suspected involvement in the leak.
Chairman of the Mardan Board, Professor Jehanzaib, while speaking to media representatives, said that Additional Secretary Shoaib Khan alerted him via a message, informing him that a snapshot of the question paper had been uploaded on social media. A subsequent message suggested that the leak may be the work of an organized group.
Professor Jehanzaib clarified that the paper was not leaked before the exam began, but rather, a photo of it was shared from inside the exam centre after the test had started. He explained that each paper has a unique code, which helps trace the origin of the leak. Using this code, the Board successfully identified the specific centre involved.
An inquiry into the incident has been launched, and departmental action will be taken against those found responsible. The Board has reiterated its commitment to preventing such breaches and ensuring the integrity of the examination process.
