Imran Khan to hold power show at Minar-e-Pakistan on Sunday
LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, has announced to hold a power show at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on Sunday.
The announcement came during a rally led by Khan himself, which was attended by a large number of PTI workers and supporters.
The rally began at a central location in Lahore and progressed through different routes before reaching Data Darbar where Imran Khan addressed the gathered crowd.
During his speech, Khan criticized what he called an “imported government” and accused it of trying to suppress voices in support of the PTI.
He also pledged to seek justice for martyred PTI activist Zille Shah, and hold the responsible policemen accountable for the murder.
Khan further stated that his fight was not personal, but for the entire nation. He expressed concern over the country being on the brink of destruction and the struggle to achieve real independence. The PTI chief emphasized that the supremacy of law is crucial in giving the nation true independence.
In his speech, Khan also highlighted the PTI rivals’ attempts to discredit his party and their efforts to remove them from the elections.
He claimed that the people are standing in support of jihad for real independence and vowed to hold a power show during daylight hours to demonstrate the PTI’s massive support.
