ANP Forms Election Commission for Islamabad Intra-Party Polls

ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) Central Chairman Election Commission Mian Iftikhar Hussain has announced the formation of a provincial election commission for conducting intra-party elections in Islamabad.

The appointed members of the provincial election commission include Qazi Izhar as Chairman, Nadeem Sarwar as Secretary, and Dr Taj, Ift Kulsoom, Masood Shah, Ali Khan, and Tahir Yousafzai as members. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth conduct of intra-party elections in Islamabad.

The members of the commission will carry out their constitutional duties related to conducting intra-party elections in Islamabad. The list of members was submitted to the Central Election Commission by Provincial President Manzoor Ahmad Khan and Member Central Election Commission Ehsanullah.

After consultation with the members, Chairman Central Election Commission Mian Iftikhar Hussain announced the formation of the provincial election commission of ANP Islamabad.

In addition, a constitutional committee was also announced for the Awami National Party Islamabad. The committee consists of Abdul Rahim Wazir, Ehsanullah, Ataullah Shah, and Dr Ruhul Amin as members. The Constitution Committee will be responsible for drafting the constitution for the Islamabad unit of the party.
