Most Applicants for Transgender Registration Found Male After Medical Tests

A recent medical examination conducted during the transgender registration process in Abbottabad has revealed that the majority of applicants were biologically male.

According to details, a total of 39 individuals submitted applications for registration as transgender persons. However, medical tests carried out as part of the verification process found that only five of the applicants qualified as transgender, while the remaining 34 were identified as male.

District authorities clarified that the tests were conducted strictly in accordance with registration rules and regulations, emphasizing that only verified members of the transgender community would be included in the official government records.

Trans registration data

Experts have described this development as a positive step toward protecting the genuine transgender community and their rights, while also helping to prevent fraudulent registrations.

Sources said the unexpected outcome of the medical assessments has prompted the concerned departments to re-examine the transparency and accuracy of the overall registration process and its data.
