ISLAMABAD: Pakistan believes that an exclusive approach towards negotiations and governance will significantly help the cause of sustainable peace in Afghanistan, said Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chudhri.
Hafeez Chudhri also stressed the international community to remain engaged with all stake-holders in the Afghan peace process and help the war-torn country at this critical juncture.
The spokesperson added Islamabad strongly supports continuity of talks on Afghan peace process that will lead the country toward security stability and economic prosperity.
“We want to see a prosperous Afghanistan,” Chudhri emphasized.
Responding to a question regarding rise in violence in Afghanistan, Hafeez Chudhri said that Pakistan has repeatedly underscored the importance of reduction in the violence leading to a ceasefire.
The spokesperson said Russia played important role by arranging a meeting to develop a “collective mechanism” for the Afghan peace efforts across Afghanistan
The crucial meeting was aimed to restart the stalled Afghan peace process, which will be an end to the long-listing war across Afghanistan.
A high-level delegation from the Taliban and the Afghan government as well as representation from Washington, Pakistan, and China attending the conference, the FO spokesperson added.
