Karachi: The Pakistan cricket team has achieved the number one position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI rankings for the first time in history. Prior to the start of the five-match ODI series against New Zealand, Pakistan was ranked fifth.

According to the official ICC ODI rankings, which started in January 2005, Pakistan now leads Australia and India by decimal points. Even if Pakistan wins the fifth and final match against New Zealand, its lead will become clear.

Victory in Fourth ODI against New Zealand Boosts Pakistan’s Ranking
After winning the fourth one-day match against New Zealand, Pakistan’s total rating points have become 113.483, while Australia’s rating points are 113.286, and India’s rating points are 112.638.
