Ministry of IT Launches National Freelance Training Program

Program Offers Opportunities for Youth to Excel as Freelancers

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has introduced the National Freelance Training Program (NFTP) to provide contemporary training to aspiring freelancers who wish to pursue a career in freelancing.

Under the collaboration between MoITT and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the NFTP has been announced and is now open for applications for its upcoming phase.

The primary objective of this initiative is to educate and empower the youth, offering them a platform to earn and grow as freelancers. The program aims to provide online employment opportunities to young individuals across Pakistan, enabling them to establish successful freelance careers.

Through the NFTP, participants will receive training in high-demand digital skills, equipping them to earn a substantial income through various freelancing platforms. Numerous online platforms are operating, providing exceptional earning prospects for freelancers from the comfort of their homes.

With over 11,000 students having already completed their training, the program has contributed to generating over $2.25 million in foreign exchange.

Becoming a Freelancer through the National Freelance Training Program:

The government is making significant investments to educate Pakistanis, particularly the youth, and various programs are being introduced to provide growth and earning opportunities. This initiative will also foster communication and collaboration with multiple countries. The government is offering substantial discounts, ranging from 70% to 100%.

Eligibility requirements for admission include possessing a National Identity Card (NIC), being a resident of the respective province, and having completed 14 years of education. The age criteria for admission are between 18 and 40 years.

Establishment of Centers Across Different Locations:

In its commitment to provide education opportunities for all, the government has established multiple centers to facilitate learners. Twenty centers have been set up across the country to offer three months of training in Technical Content Marketing, Advertising, and Creative Designing for unemployed youth.

The NFTP offers a wide range of courses, including web development, graphic design, writing, and marketing. Experienced professionals have been hired to provide guidance, and students have access to online learning platforms, mentors, and networking opportunities.

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will receive certificates based on formal performance evaluation and rating. Evaluation criteria will consider attendance, student performance, and other assignments throughout the program’s three-month duration.
