IHC to Review induction of CDA Officer into the Secretariat Group

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is set to review induction of Qaiser Khan Khattak, a Grade 19 Officer from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) into the Secretariat Group.

The petition challenging Khattak’s induction was filed by Advocate Qaiser Abbas Shah, who contested the validity of the notifications issued on April 20, 2020, and May 25, 2022.

Advocate Shah, representing the petitioner, has raised concerns regarding the process and legality of Khattak’s deputation into the Secretariat Group. The court has taken cognizance of these concerns and has issued notices to the respondents, ordering them to submit a detailed report within a month.

In response to the petition, the Deputy Registrar of the High Court has also issued notices to the Secretary of the Establishment Division and the Chairman of the CDA for the upcoming hearing.

The next hearing on this matter has been scheduled for May 13, where both parties will have the opportunity to present their arguments and evidence before the court.
