The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the election schedule for the Punjab Assembly’s general elections, following the Supreme Court’s orders, which will take place on the 14th of the following month.
The ECP notification issued on Wednesday stated that appeals against the Returning Officer’s decision to accept or reject nomination papers should be filed by the 10th of this month.
The last date for the withdrawal of candidacy and the publication of the revised list of candidates is the 19th of this month.
Contesting candidates will be allotted their election symbols on the 20th of this month. The commission has withdrawn its notification issued on the 22nd of last month concerning the withdrawal of the election schedule issued on the 8th of last month.
