NAB Moves to Reopen Corruption Cases Against Nawaz Sharif and Zardari
In response to a recent Supreme Court ruling against NAB amendments, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken action by writing a letter to the Islamabad Accountability Courts, requesting the reopening of 80 corruption cases involving various politicians.
Prominent figures such as Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Murad Ali Shah, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and Ishaq Dar are among those facing renewed scrutiny.
According to NAB sources, these revived cases encompass a range of allegations, including fake accounts linked to former President Asif Ali Zardari, the rental power case involving National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and cases related to luxury vehicles owned by Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Yousaf Raza Gillani.
NAB is diligently preparing to present the complete case records in compliance with the court’s instructions.
