Terrorist Attack Martyrs Four Policemen in Lakki Marwat

The sacrifices of our police force in the battle against terrorism is indelible - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

A group of terrorists on Wednesday night attacked the Saddar Police Station in Lakki Marwat, resulting in the tragic martyrdom of four police officers, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Iqbal Mohmand, Constable Ali Marjan, Constable Karamat, and Waqar Ahmed.

The attack also left six other officers injured, who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The terrorists launched the attack on the police station, and when the DSP and other policemen were sent to reinforce the staff, the militants bombed their vehicle at Pirwala Morr.

The funeral prayers for the martyred officers were held in the morning at the Police Lines and were attended by senior police officials.

Meanwhile, the police have cordoned off the area and started an investigation into the attack. Allah and Waqar Ahmed were identified as the perpetrators of the attack.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences over the tragic incident, acknowledging the sacrifices of the police force in the fight against terrorism.

He said, “The sacrifices of our police force in the battle against terrorism is indelible. May the fallen heroes be bestowed with Allah’s mercy, and the wounded officers make a prompt recovery.”

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also condemned the terror attack and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of the police personnel.

This attack highlights the continuing threat that terrorism poses to the country and the bravery of the police force in their fight against it.
