Record Tourist Influx in KP During Eid-ul-Fitr, Swat Valley Tops the List

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed a record number of tourists visiting its scenic recreational destinations during the three days of Eid-ul-Fitr, as citizens from across Pakistan flocked to the province to celebrate the festive occasion.

Eid-ul-Fitr, a festival marked by joy and sharing happiness, saw an added boost this year as a large number of people chose to enhance their celebrations by visiting the naturally rich tourist spots of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority released official statistics regarding tourist arrivals during all three days of Eid. According to Director General Tourism Usman Mehsud, more than 262,000 tourists visited the province during the Eid holidays.

Among the destinations, Swat Valley received the highest number of visitors, with a record 186,000 tourists recorded during the three days. Additionally, Galiyat attracted 51,886 tourists who spent their Eid holidays in the area. During this period, 76 foreign tourists also visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On the other hand, special arrangements were made for tourists during the Eid holidays on the instructions of Chief Minister KP Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi. Tourism police remained fully deployed throughout the three days, while the helpline 1422 stayed operational круглосуточно to assist visitors.
