ATC Sends Imaan Mazari and Ali Wazir to Adiala Jail
ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has dismissed the police’s plea for extended physical remand and instead directed Imaan Mazari and Ali Wazir to be sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
During the proceedings in the Anti-terrorism court, a range of charges including rebellion, threats, and agitation were addressed in relation to Imaan Mazari and Ali Wazir.
The prosecutor disclosed that voice matching and photo grammetry tests have already been carried out, and the transcription of written speeches is pending for analysis.
When asked by the judge about the developments in the investigation during the three-day period, the prosecutor failed to provide a satisfactory response. Consequently, the court ruled to send Imaan Mazari and Ali Wazir to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
Furthermore, the Anti-terrorism court has granted permission for a meeting between Imaan Mazari’s mother, Shireen Mazari, and her in the court chamber.
