Imran Khan Says PTI Leaders Who Attended NDU Event Have ‘No Place in the Party’
Aleema Khan Warns of Family Sit-In on Tuesday, PTI Leaders’ Sit-In Thursday if Court-Ordered Meetings Are Denied

RAWALPINDI: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Former Prime Minister Imran Khan met his sister Uzma Khanam on Monday, after weeks of being denied family access. Following the meeting, Uzma Khanam, along with Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, spoke to the media at Factory Police Check Post and shared details of their conversation with him.
Uzma Khanam said she was relieved to see him in good health, adding, “Alhamdulillah, today I met the PTI founder. His health is perfectly fine.” She said he told her that he had not been allowed to meet anyone for the past four weeks. Uzma briefed him about the police’s treatment with Noreen Niazi, which she said left him deeply disturbed.
She added that Imran Khan also expressed concern for Bushra Bibi, saying she was being kept in solitary confinement. According to Uzma, he said that Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja would finalize candidates for upcoming bar council elections. He also stressed that the notifications of Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas should be issued without further delay.

Uzma said the Imran Khan instructed the party to stage protests in both the Parliament and Senate. He also extended full support to Sohail Afridi. She noted that he appeared both worried and angry, saying that laws and the Constitution were being applied only to PTI. He complained that he himself was being held in complete solitary confinement.
Imran Khan also expressed disappointment over party leaders’ participation in the recent NDU ceremony. Uzma quoted him as saying those who attended were acting like “Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq” and that such individuals had no place in the party. He also warned that attacks on Afghanistan would only lead to increased terrorism.
Meanwhile, Aleema Khan, speaking to the media separately, said that Imran Khan had been kept in isolation for an entire year. She announced the family’s new demand: on Tuesdays, six family members must be allowed to meet him, and on Thursdays, six PTI leaders should be granted access.
She emphasized that court orders already exist for these meetings. “If these meetings are not allowed in line with judicial orders, then the family will hold a sit-in on Tuesday, and party leaders will stage a sit-in on Thursday,” Aleema said.
