Traffic disruptions likely as PDM all set to march on twin cities roads
Islamabad: Traffic disruptions in twin cities are likely as the Political Democratic Movement (PDM) is all set to stage a protest demonstration outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Islamabad on Tuesday.
The 11-party alliance of all major political parties staged a protest against the delay in the decision on foreign funding case against the ruling PTI.
According to details, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal will start the rally from Chungi No 26 and the rally will move towards the Kashmir Chowk via Srinagar Highway
Likewise, PML-N Maryam Nawaz will also lead a large rally from Nawaz Sharif Park on Murree Road and will move towards Kashmir Chowk via Club Road.
PPP’s Rawalpindi-chapter President Babar Jadoon along with party workers will march from Pindora Octroi on IJP Road towards Kashmir Chowk
All PDM leaders will gather at Kashmir Chowk and will lead to the ECP on a special container. Traffic disruptions anticipated at Serena Chowk and Constitutional Avenue beside other major roads.
It is to mention here that the Islamabad administration has deployed around 1,800 police officials in part of the Capital, including the Red Zone.
