Police Arrest Four-Member Gang Involved in Illegal Kidney Transplantation

Rawalpindi: A four-member gang has been apprehended for their involvement in unlawful kidney transplantation in the Taxila region.

According to a spokesperson for the police, the arrested individuals include Dr. Fawad, a female nurse named Sobia, Mohammad Hasnain, and Mohammad Sharif, who served as paramedic staff.

Dr. Fawad, who was among those apprehended, has a criminal record for similar offenses.

Interestingly, the process of unlawfully extracting a kidney from a donor and transplanting it into another individual was still underway during the police raid.

The donor and recipient have been transferred to a hospital, and the police have confiscated surgical instruments found in the possession of the suspects.

The authorities have announced that additional accomplices and facilitators will be detained as part of the investigation.

The City Police Officer, Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, has praised the police team’s efforts and expressed his determination to punish the guilty parties with solid evidence for their heinous act.
