Kasur police reported the arrest of a man who sustained a bullet injury to his private parts when his pistol accidentally discharged during a mob attack on Dhanpat Road.
According to police, the suspect was caught after an alleged robbery attempt. When he tried to pull out the concealed weapon, it went off, injuring him. He was taken into custody following the incident.
Sources revealed that the suspect, a labourer from Okara, had also been wanted in connection with the alleged molestation of a minor girl in Shah Inayat Colony three days earlier. A video of that incident recently circulated on social media, prompting police to register a case against him under Section 377-B of the Pakistan Penal Code.
On Monday, A-Division police filed an additional case against him under Section 393 of the PPC and Section 13-2(a) of the Punjab Amendment Ordinance 2015, on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Ashfaq Ahmed.
The suspect remains under investigation for both cases
